Years ago , students were thought to be ‘good’ when they learned what they were told and gave it back accurately when questioned . This is not the case anymore. Students now should not be judged by what they are able to memorize, instead by what they are able to apply, analyse , evaluate , and synthesize. What students need is not only knowledge , but also skills that enable them to put this knowledge into products .Standard- based curricula are used in schools which reinforce skill- based education and which envision students as life- long learners. The curricula used at Al- Oruba international Schools clearly state our vision and mission of empowering our students with the skills needed for a life- long journey.
